Marquee

Text, icons or other blocks that scroll across the row in a continuous loop. The content repeats so the loop has no visible seam.

Where it is used

This is a standalone block. No section in the package places it. It appears in the default content of the index.json and page.about.json templates.

How to use this block

Setting	Options	Description
Inherit color scheme		When on, the marquee uses the colors of the section around it. Turn it off to pick a separate color scheme for the marquee.
Color scheme		Edit color schemes in Theme settings.
Direction	• Right to left • Left to right	Direction the text moves: from right to left, or from left to right.
Scroll speed		Seconds one scroll cycle takes. A higher value makes the text move more slowly.
Item spacing		Space between the scrolling items in pixels.

Top padding		Space above the marquee in pixels.
Bottom padding		Space below the marquee in pixels.

Scroll speed is set in seconds for one full loop, so a higher number makes the scroll slower. Item spacing sets the gap between items in pixels. Inside the marquee you can add icon, text, section heading and group blocks.

Notes

The repeated copies are taken out of the tab order. The theme can detect only app blocks as interactive content, so other interactive blocks in the marquee do not keep their copies in the tab order.

The Right to left option moves the text from right to left, and the Left to right option moves it from left to right.
