Breadcrumb
Breadcrumb shows the visitor's position in the store as a row of links, for example Home > Collection > Product. It gives shoppers a one click way back to the level above instead of relying on the browser back button. This matters most for visitors who arrive on a deep page from an ad or a search result. It also makes a large catalog feel easier to move through. The trail does not appear on the home page or the 404 page.
This is a global section, so once you set it up the trail follows the same style everywhere it is displayed.
How to find it
In the Theme Editor, select the Breadcrumb section.

Heading content
| Setting | Options | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Content alignment | • Left | Sets where the trail sits inside its row. Left is where shoppers expect it. Center suits pages with a centered title underneath. Right keeps the trail clear of left aligned content below. Default: start. |
Section layout
| Setting | Options | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Section width | • Page width | Sets how far the row holding the trail stretches across the screen. Page width lines the links up with the rest of your page, using the width set in Theme settings, Layout. Wide runs the links close to the screen edges. Full width fills the whole screen. Default: fix_width. |
| Top padding | Adds space above the trail, from 0 to 100 px. Increase it when the links sit too close to the header. Default: 48. | |
| Bottom padding | Adds space under the trail, from 0 to 100 px. It separates the trail from the page title or content that follows. Default: 48. |
Content alignment places the breadcrumb at the start, center, or end of the row.
