Cart
Cart controls what happens after a customer adds a product, how the cart opens on mobile, and the cart contents: the free shipping message, countdown, recommendations, gift wrap, empty cart text, and terms checkbox.
How to find it
In the Theme Editor, open Theme settings, then select Cart.

Cart behavior

Free shipping message
Make sure that you have properly configured your shipping rates in your Shopify admin, under Settings → Shipping and delivery.

Cart countdown

Product recommendations

Product gift wrap

Empty cart settings

Terms and conditions

Action after adding to cart on desktop: Drawer opens the cart drawer after a product is added. Page opens the cart page.
Action after adding to cart on mobile: Open mini cart opens the drawer each time. Notify message shows a message only. Open cart once, notify after opens the cart on the first add and shows the message after that. The theme keeps this state in a cookie for one day.
Open cart as sets the style of the cart window when a visitor taps the cart icon on mobile: Drawer or Popup.
The free shipping message uses [amount] as the placeholder for the amount still needed. Free shipping minimum amount sets the threshold. Enter whole numbers only, without currency symbols or letters.
Cart countdown shows a timer on the mini cart and the cart page. Duration sets its length from 2 to 10 minutes.
Product recommendations appear in the mini cart and on the cart page. Auto shows products up to the Maximum products limit (2 to 12). Selected shows only the products you pick, up to 12.
Product gift wrap lists up to four products that customers can add as gift wrap. Only products without variants work.
Empty cart settings control the text and collections shown when the cart is empty. Collection list accepts up to four collections. Button link defaults to the all products page when left blank.
Terms and conditions adds a checkbox to the mini cart and the cart page. The text appears only when the checkbox is on.
Notes
Show gift wrap and Show free shipping message are switched on or off in the Cart drawer section.
