Cart drawer

Cart drawer is the side panel that shows the cart. It slides in over the current page so shoppers can review and edit their cart without leaving the product or collection they were looking at. It can also carry helpers that support the order: a free shipping message, a cart note, a shipping estimate, gift wrap, and a discount code field. Because it is a global section, it behaves the same everywhere in the store.

Use it when you want to keep shoppers browsing after they add an item, instead of sending them to the cart page. In Theme settings, Cart, you choose whether adding to the cart on desktop opens the drawer or the cart page.

How to find it

In the Theme Editor, open the Popups and drawers group, then select Cart drawer.

General

Setting	Options	Description
Show free shipping message		Shows a progress bar and a message that tells shoppers how much more they need to spend to get free shipping. It appears only when a minimum amount is set in Theme settings, Cart, which also holds the message text. Default: on.
Show cart note		Adds an order note button under the items. It opens a panel with a text box and a Save button, so shoppers can leave a delivery instruction or a gift message. Default: on.
Show shipping estimate		Adds a shipping estimate button. It opens a panel where shoppers enter their country, province, and zip code to see an estimated shipping cost before checkout. Default: on.
Show gift wrap		Lets shoppers add a gift wrap product to the order. The products come from Theme settings, Cart. The option appears only when gift wrap products are selected there and at least one of them has a single variant and is available. Default: on.
Show discount code		Adds a discount code field with an apply button, so shoppers can redeem a promo code before checkout. Codes already applied are listed below the field, each with a remove button. Default: on.

Each checkbox adds one part to the drawer: the free shipping message, the cart note, the shipping estimate, the gift wrap option, or the discount code field. The text and products for these parts come from Theme settings, Cart. A drawer with all of them on gets long on mobile, so turn on only what your store uses.
