About us

The About us page is where you tell shoppers who is behind the store: your story, how the products are made, and why they should trust you. Visitors reach it from the header menu or the footer, usually before a first order when they are still deciding whether the store is real and worth buying from. Because it is built from theme sections, you can present the story with images, text, and even a product row instead of one long paragraph.

Unlike the 404 or cart templates, this page does not exist until you create it. You create a page in the Shopify admin, attach a theme template to it, then arrange the sections in the theme editor.

Step 1: Create the page in the Shopify admin

Result: the page now exists at an address such as /pages/about-us and uses the theme template instead of the plain default one.

Step 2: Arrange the sections

Result: the preview shows the story layout that visitors will see, with the header and footer already in place around it.

Add the page to your navigation

A new page is not linked from anywhere until you add it to a menu. Add it to your main menu in Online Store > Navigation if you want it in the header, or to a footer menu if it belongs with your policy links.
