Metafields

Metafield settings

Several sections and blocks in Purity read their content from metafields on your products and collections. In Purity 1.3.0 the metafield each feature reads is a setting you can change, not a fixed value in the code. This means you can point any of these features at your own metafield (any namespace and key) without editing the theme.

How it works

Each of these settings is a text field where you enter the metafield in namespace.key format, for example custom.highlights.

Leave the field on its default value to use the metafield Purity expects out of the box.
Change it to any namespace.key if your store stores that content in a different metafield.
The metafield must hold the type of content the feature expects (for example, a list of products, or a list of image/text items). Create the metafield in Settings -> Custom data if you don't have it yet.

Blocks

These are product blocks, added inside a product section or a section that supports blocks. They read from product metafields.
