Colors

Go to Theme settings -> Colors. Purity gives you two tools that work together: a Palette for storing your brand colors, and Schemes for applying sets of colors to sections across your store.

Palette

Define the colors for the palette for easier use across the theme.

The Palette gathers your store's main colors into one grid. Once a color is in the palette, you can reuse it anywhere the theme asks for a color (a color scheme, or a color setting inside a section or block) by picking the swatch instead of typing a hex code each time. Change a palette color once and every place that uses it updates automatically.

Purity comes with 7 palette colors:

Color	Typical use
Primary	Your main brand color.
Accent	A secondary color for highlights and accents.
Text	Body text.
Heading	Headings.
Border	Borders and dividers.
Background	The main background.
Background 2	A secondary background.

How to use it

Step 1. Set your brand colors

Go to Theme settings -> Colors -> Palette. Edit any swatch, or use the + button to add a new brand color (up to 20 colors).

Step 2. Reuse them

When you set a color in a Scheme, or in a section's or block's color setting, choose a swatch from your palette. You can still override any color individually if you need a one-off.

Schemes

Color schemes can be applied to sections throughout your online store.

A color scheme is a saved set of colors (background, text, headings, buttons, and so on). You assign a scheme to a section, and that section takes those colors. The Palette does not replace schemes: it sits alongside them so you can build and update schemes using your brand colors more quickly.

To assign a scheme, open any section and choose it under Color scheme. To create or edit schemes, use the Schemes list under Theme settings -> Colors.
